The Susan Jolley Foundation

"One Life, One Vaccination, One Conversation at a time"

The Susan Jolley Awareness Program brings awareness to the prevention and the impact of cervical cancer and other gynecological cancers that affects women. Cervical cancer begins in the cervix, the narrow organ at the bottom of the uterus that connects to the vagina. Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers in women worldwide. A well-proven way to prevent cervix cancer is to have testing (screening) to find pre-cancers before they can turn into invasive cancer. The Pap test (or Pap smear) and the HPV (human papillomavirus) test are used for this. If a pre-cancer is found, it can be treated, stopping cervical cancer before it really starts.

The program also includes the Pencil Me In Initiative which encourages women to make themselves a priority. Often times, women wear many hats and put their goals, dreams and health on
the back burner. The PMI is to show women that we are important too. We are also advocating to
expand Medicaid across the United States. Expanding Medicaid will allow regular health
screenings and preventative care.

Join me because "Cancer can't Win"

In Loving memory of Ms. Susan Jolley

Georgia National Organization for Women

The National Organization for Women is the largest organization of feminist grassroots activists in the United States. NOW has hundreds of chapters and hundreds of thousands of members and activists in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Since the founding in 1966, NOW’s purpose is to take action through intersectional grassroots activism to promote feminist ideals, lead societal change, eliminate discrimination, and achieve and protect the equal rights of all women and girls in all aspects of social, political, and economic life.

NOW is an intersectional, multi-issue, multi-strategy organization that takes a holistic approach to women’s rights. Our official priorities are winning economic equality and securing it with an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that will guarantee equal rights for women; championing abortion rights, reproductive justice along with other women’s health issues; opposing racism; fighting discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity in all areas, including employment, housing, health services, and child custody; and ending violence against all women, no matter race, age, or socio-economic class.
